Wisdom Community Gardens Advisory Council wants our community to discover the abundance that can be provided by Portland’s rich natural world.  Our NCCC team is building six raised vegetable garden beds this week so our Native community can learn and grow healthy heirloom vegetables for their family. Please contact us if you are interested in using one of the gardens this summer and fall to grow vegetables for your family.  There is no charge and we will help to train you. We are also planning development of agricultural and food processing micro-enterprise opportunities since our Native community statistically experiences the deepest level of poverty of any cultural group in Portland.  Contact Rebecca Tait at (503) 775-4014 or e-mail volunteer@wisdomoftheelders.org if you want to reserve a garden spot for the summer… and please join us at our upcoming events!
